Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

I opened the box as soon as it arrived to find a very unhappy plant. All of the leaves were yellow and it started defoliation immediately. I haven't planted it because of its fragile state. It is tucked away in my greenhouse where it will stay to next spring. It's not dead so I'm hoping that it will come back out.

I am disappointed with the size of the plants. They looked healthy but they were pruned close to about 6 inches from the base of the plant. All three Rose of Sharon are struggling to recover. No new growths. Not sure if they make through. Very unhappy.
Hello! Referring to our previous response, please contact us with your order number and photos of the plants, and we would love to take a closer look. All orders are covered by our 60 day guarantee. We look forward to helping!
Plants seem healthy. Timely delivery.
These plants came well packed and healthy. Some even had buds on them when I got them, but none have bloomed yet. I had to keep them in my garage in front of the window a few days before they could be planted. They’ve been in the ground for more than two weeks and are doing well.
Not growing very big…
Hopefully it survives the winter
It’s nice and green and blooming but very small..I should have ordered a larger one.
