Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

They look pretty but lower leaves are yellow now. Maybe that’s an Autumn thing? Little nervous but we’ll see come Spring time/next May.

We appreciate your feedback.
Looked very good when they came in. Weather forcast was for 100 plus temperatures for a couple of weeks. Kept them in cool place and planted them when it cooled down a bit. Then plant them. They don't seem to have grown very much, but they look good as of now. Will have a better idea of what I think of them if they come back up next spring.
The plant arrived very healthy and is looking great in my flower garden.
Received in fine condition. In the ground now and looking forward to new growth next spring. They transplanted well. Thank you.
Ordered seven rose of Sharon plants and they arrived well packaged and vital. Since planting them they are all thriving. Realizing that it will take a couple of years for them to start growing they nonetheless are very healthy and I have good confidence that they will continue to thrive and overwinter well. Excellent experience with Great Garden Plants.
