More Information

Description Crisp white flowers with textured pink and yellow centers create so much contrast in such a small package! 'Eastern Star' White Wood aster (Aster divaricatus) begins its show during late summer and doesn't let up until the first frost, providing an abundance of nectar and pollen for late-season pollinators. It's also an excellent plant for gardeners wanting to extend their garden interest. This aster is more tolerant of shade than other aster varieties; it prefers it, making it an excellent flowering ground cover for shaded areas like under trees or large shrubs.

Aster is a native perennial with a full, bushy habit that is naturally compact, making it perfect for borders or containers. It's generally very low maintenance and easy to care for, so it's perfect for beginners. No trimming or shaping is required to keep it looking full and neat! All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the long-lasting blooms.

Thriving

The Asters arrived quickly. They were full of dark green mature leaves and many light green new leaves. Even though I had them in their containers for about two weeks they remained hearty. I would recommend Great Gardens to anyone, even if you’re not in their zone. Thank you.
