Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

The start of fall may signal the gardening season is coming to a close, but it’s not over yet! There is still plenty of time to enjoy colorful flowers and foliage or even sprinkle in some new perennials and shrubs before winter arrives.
I ordered 2 of these. One of them can healthy and the other in very bad shape. Not wanting to give up on it, I planted it anyway. It is totally dead, while the other one is thriving.

Beautiful plants. Small but healthy.
These little gals will grow and look great, I planted them the day they arrived, they both appear to be healthy, bushy and colorful. Placed one on either side of a very old birchleaf spirea. Perfect companions for the old Birch leaf spirea who stood alone.
I planted one of these in 2021 and added two more in 2022. I'm in Virginia zone 7a with red clay soil and these look fantastic even when not in bloom! They have a nice full shape with no pruning and bright green color that always looks fresh in the garden. As with most of my shrubs, I water them in when I plant them and then only water if we go over a week or two with no rain. I've got these in part sun and they are still very bright green. These have been super low maintenance and look good from spring until frost.
Of the 3 plants, one was completely dried up and the other 2 had just a few green branches. I planed jut to see if they would possibly come back so I will have to wait and see on that. This was my first time ordering any plants online and I will not do it again.
