Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Rose bushes are a garden classic! Learn how to grow roses, when to prune roses, why the leaves are turning brown, why your plant isn't flowering, and everything else you need to know to grow roses like a pro.
The plant arrived healthy with a single bloom on it. I was glad to see this in order to determine that it was the correct color. What was a little alarming was that the plant looks much more like a miniature rose than I expected. The leaves are very small, and in the images I have seen of this rose, they are should be of average size for a ground cover rose. It is doing well thus far, and the foliage looks very healthy. I have a lot of hope that this rose will indeed fill in and that the leaves and flowers become a bit bigger once planted out.
We’re sorry you’re having trouble with your plants! No need to be alarmed by the smaller foliage. This rose will continue to establish in its new environment and put on larger foliage as more blooms begin to form. The three roses came in good condition and in the stated timeframe. They appear to be growing well.
My plant arrived in beautiful condition and is growing in my vintage garden
As soon as I got them shipped the heat set in for the summer. The leaves shriveled not new growth which in a way it’s good because it will get scorched anyway. So far the canes are still green. They get sun from early morning till 2PM.At noon I pull a shade cloth over them. The only one that has some new growth is oso easy.I,like be very happy if they will make it trough the summer.Temperature here is 110-115.
