Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

It arrived dry with half leaves dead. I watered it daily with full drainage but it continued to dry up and die.

The plant came in really good condition. I planted it and it is showing signs of growth. I am worried that it may not be receiving as much sun as it needs, but location of plant is on me. I am looking forward to it blooming. I doubt that that will be this year.
I read that the Dwarf Pink Lilac is not supposed to show much sign of growth the first year. However, since mid-May, it seems like the leaves are still very small and somewhat curled. Plus, if I can attach a picture, I wonder if this is the way the lilac should look in two months? I even set the lilac in Miracle Gro Garden Soil for Trees and Shrubs and protected it with mulch and a small fence ring.
These plants came packed well and were in good shape. I planted them in small pots to get them established and they look great! I would purchase again from this company!!
This lilac bush took well as so as I planted. I was worried that having them sit in shallow water. Wasn't sure if that was a good idea, they survived. I'm happy!
