Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Ornamental grasses are invaluable additions to the landscape, but we don’t think they get enough credit. They rustle in the breeze, produce plumes of flowers, and add interest through the winter. What’s not to love? No matter the unique landscape goal, these ornamental grasses are approved by Great Garden Plants horticulturists to be a great addition to your garden.
Everything I've ordered from Great
Garden Plants has grown well, and this Blue Arrows Rush has taken right off. They were much bigger than I expected and exceptionally well packaged. It been a couple of months, and they look like they've been growing all year. They're lovely companions to my sedums and dianthus. Very happy customer for life here. Thanks!
Cool Beans🥰
Well packed, healthy and thriving! Great communication and timely delivery. Many thanks.
I really love the Blue Arrows Rush and they seemed to be thriving in my pots! Thanks!
There was a heat wave when these plants were shipped and they're not looking good. Despite writing to customer service several times, I'm expected to wait and see for another couple weeks if these browning plants (that I have to trim daily because it's getting more brown as each day passes) will come back to life again. I'm very disappointed. I was going to use these in mixed containers in front of my house, but their appearance is nothing like what is pictured on this page.
