More Information

Description Rapido Blue bellflower (Campanula carpatica) brings a wealth of color and charm to the garden. It grows in a compact, low cushion mound of small green leaves with wavy edges. By early summer, cup-shaped "open bells" completely smother the foliage. These soft blue flowers bloom four weeks earlier than other Campanulas and last throughout summer. Rapido Blue bellflower is an ideal sun perennial groundcover. It's low maintenance and deer resistant, making it easy to grow, even for beginners. Tuck it in the front of the border, in front of shrubs, containers, rock gardens, or any other small spaces! Details How To Grow

Struggling Campanula

I do not want this published because it will put you in a bad light. My plants are not doing well at all. In fact 2-3 of the 9 might not make it. Everything else I have ever ordered from you has been great and thriving in my yard. The Campanula have not. :-(

We’re sorry you’re having trouble with your plants! Our fall guarantee covers plants received after September 1 until May 2026, so we have you covered. Please send your order number and pictures ...

Mailed in high heat—arrived pretty wilted needing care

I’ve bought many perennials from Great Gardens. This particular speedwell and 2 campanulas arrived in 90 degree PNW heat. Lots of dead leaves and wilt but with great care trimming all leaf loss out and watering, only the speedwell came back and is doing well now. Our weather turned much cooler and waited to plant it in oak barrel during that period of time. If not for the crispy leaf loss, I would give it 5 stars.

Now the 2 campanulas arrived destroyed. No saving. All stems brown and crispy. Stems desiccated. Going into the trash. Sad. Earlier in the season bought some of these and arrived in great condition. Flourishing now. Am asking for refund yet no response as of yet. Normally the response is quick when an issue arises. Not this time tho.

Rapido Blue Bellflower Campanula

1 of the 2 plants died within a few days of receiving.

Thank you for your feedback! It’s surprisingly normal for newly transplanted plants to appear like they aren’t growing. That’s because most of the growth occurs below ground in their first year as they allocate more energy to root development. Once your plant is established, it will start investing more in shoot and flower development.
