Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

These plants were quite wilted from shipping. We had little rain, so I followed the directions and kept them in a shady area to help them bounce back. This is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. With some TLC they recovered and are in a sunny location. They have not bloomed yet. We will see how the next year is for them.
We're sorry you're unsatisfied with your order! While we've made it a goal to make the shipping process as stress-free as possible for our plants, it is normal for any live plant to experience shipping stress, which is why we have a 60-day guarantee on all of our plants. We recommend to any customer to place the plants in a cool, shaded spot out of direct sunlight for 24-48 hours after unpacking them. This allows them a recovery and acclimation period before planting. If you must hold them longer, place them out of direct sunlight, wind, heat, and cold. We're thrilled to hear they made their recovery! If there are any issues, contact claims@greatgardenplants.com with your order number and photos of the plants, and our team will be happy to help! https://bit.ly/ggp-guarantee
Disappointed, I spent over $1200 with this company and all plants except for 2 have died. I’ve tested the soil to ensure it’s at the optimal level, I put in watering systems to ensure each section received only the amount of water it required along with proper fertilizing steps and ensuring each plant has the optimal amount of light of the plants have lasted out of the 40 or so I purchased.
We're sorry you're having trouble with your plants. Our team of horticulture experts would love to take a closer look! Please contact us at claims@greatgardenplants.com with your order number and photos of the plants so we can better assist you. All orders are covered by our 60-day guarantee. We look forward to helping! https://bit.ly/ggp-guarantee
I have not received the salvia that I ordered.
All of my plants looked ( look) wonderful, but 6 of them have to be under wire mesh do the deer don’t eat them. They pull them right out of the ground😞
Great plants! I am an avid gardener and these come well packed and protected. I have ordered quite a bit from Great Garden Plants and I have never been disappointed!
