More Information

Description We can’t decide what we love most about Funshine abelia – the bright golden foliage or the abundance of purple blooms. It’s the total package, and an ideal way to bring vivacious color to even a shady spot in your garden. Enjoy months of bloom from late spring through fall, with bell-like flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Like other abelias, it’s quite a tough plant, growing well even in dry shade, and is unbothered by deer, rabbits, or other pests. Funshine abelia is colorful enough to be planted on its own in a flower garden, but it's especially effective planted in groups of 3 or 5 to form a low hedge or bring contrasting color to your home's landscape. Perfect as usual

Within 2 weeks of planting, all 4 are blooming. It looks like they are going to thrive.

I’m liking the plant’s structure and leaf form a lot, but the jury will be out until Spring of ‘25

Received well packaged and doing great. My third time to order this wonderful shrub that has such stunning color. Picture show abelias after one year of growth.

disappointed

The plants are tiny and frail.

We’re sorry you’re not satisfied with your plants! On each product page and our plant sizes page, we note that all of our plants are young. The size of our plants varies depending on the time of year and whether they were recently trimmed. The most important thing when purchasing plants, online or in garden centers, is a full and robust root system, which we prioritize. Trimming only encourages stronger root development! If you're seeing any issues with growth, please contact our customer service team, and they will assist you in the best way possible. Thank you for your feedback.

Not impressed

Followed all instructions for planting and there has been no growth at all. I don't think they're dead (yet) but I'm not impressed with my plants.
