More Information

Description The texture and versatility of Gracillimus Maiden Grass (Miscanthus sinensis) make it an easy choice for any garden! Long, thin green blades sway in the breeze from spring to fall. Purple and copper fans open to spikelets that mature to stunning silvery plumes at the start of fall. Growing 5-7 feet tall, it serves as an excellent hedge plant. You can use them in the back of borders, in drifts, as specimens, or next to water features. Plus, they're durable, so you won't have to worry about drought or deer! Details How To Grow

Still alive!

This was my first order from Great Gardens because I couldn’t find plants in my local garden centers to complete my garden plan.. had waited 3 weeks to put 4 plants (including Maiden Grass) in the ground. They’ve been in the ground a week now and they are still alive. The plants were in the house a week and on my patio for 2 weeks where I watered them when they looked dry. I can’t wait to see my garden grow and bloom!

Received in good condition I planted them according to the instructions provided and so far they look healthy and hopefully they will continue to grow tall and full considering buying a few more

Maiden grass

I bought local before and there were many more blades of grass. These are scrawny. I already have 30 some maiden grass plants. 3rd year for most. They are exploding. Thank you for the effort. Nice info you sent with the plants.

We’re sorry you’re not satisfied with your plants! On each product page and our plant sizes page, we note that all of our plants are young, meaning they will not have the same growth you'd see on more mature plants. The size of our plants varies depending on the time of year and whether they were recently trimmed. The most important thing when purchasing plants, online or in garden centers, is a full and robust root system, which we prioritize. Trimming only encourages stronger root development! All orders are covered by our 60-day guarantee, so please reach out to claims@greatgardenplants.com to start the claims process if necessary. We appreciate your feedback!
