More Information

Description Green Velvet boxwood (Buxus) has luxurious evergreen foliage and habit perfectly suited for formal or informal gardens. The velvety, green foliage adds rich color and texture to your space.  The shrub lends well to shearing for creating a variety of garden designs. Add structure or a statement to your garden! Don't fret over brutal winters. This variety was bred to thrive in harsh, zone 5 winters and low levels of sunlight. Its durability and low maintenance requirements make it perfect for beginning gardeners as well. Did you know? Boxwood got its common name from its square stems and previous use in building boxes. It also looks great when trimmed into a box shape! Details How To Grow

Great Plants

I purchased Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet Azalea and Green Velvet Boxwood. All 20 plants arrived intact and healthy. I look forward to their growth. This is an excellent nursery.

Wow We Like It

Our plants came to Oregon in great shape. We used them to teach our teenage grandson how to plant things. They fit right in with all our other plants and we are very happy.

Healthy and thriving

The green velvet boxwood has satiny green leaves that make it shine. I planted them a few days after receiving, and they have been doing well and there’s even new growth already! I’m using the boxwoods for a wind and privacy barrier in front of my tiny home. I’m very happy with the quality and beauty of these little boxwoods.
