More Information

Description Cover your trellis or adorn a wall with the velvety purple flowers of Happy Jack® Purple clematis (Clematis 'Zojapur'). This early-blooming beauty flowers on new and old wood so you can enjoy a bounty of fresh, vivid purple blooms mid-summer into fall. Featuring larger flowers and a more vivid color than the popular 'Jackmanii' clematis, Happy Jack® would be the perfect addition for a gardener looking for a low-maintenance plant with a significant impact. Don't be fooled by its demure appearance; Happy Jack® is an easy to grow vine that is vigorous and disease resistant! Purple clematis thrive in full sun and part shade but appreciate having their feet cool. Clematis care is easy as well, just plant near a shrub, where clematis' roots can enjoy the afternoon shade or simply cover its base in a layer of mulch, and it'll be happy as can be. Took off growing right away!

Planted it straight into the ground, followed directions on the packaging, and it started climbing up it's trellis about a week later! I'm so pleased with my plant , I can't wait to see the flowers

So Far, So Good

It’s only been in the ground for about a month. The true test will be how it survives winter and what it does next Summer.

Happy Jack Clematis

This thing is growing like crazy! It was tiny when it arrived but it’s probably 3-4 times bigger already. Very dainty leaves so far.
