Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

The start of fall may signal the gardening season is coming to a close, but it’s not over yet! There is still plenty of time to enjoy colorful flowers and foliage or even sprinkle in some new perennials and shrubs before winter arrives.
2 plants were in great shape and are settling in well. One had several broken branches. We will see how it shapes up in the spring.

The Juke Box Pyracomeles arrived well packaged and fresh. They were smaller than I expected but probably as described. The primary stems were a little fragile and two of them were leaning and not upright as I would expect. Nonetheless, they are planted and still alive after several weeks in the ground. To be determined how well they do long term.
Hello! We do note on our website that the plants are young. The size of our plants varies depending on the time of year and whether they were recently trimmed. The most important thing when purchasing plants, online or in garden centers, is a full and robust root system, which we prioritize. Trimming only encourages stronger root development! Once they are estalished, they will take on more of their mature shape, and look stunning in your garden. All orders are covered by our 60-day guarantee. https://bit.ly/ggp-guarantee
I planted these this year to fill empty spots in my landscape. They came healthy and did just fine even though I couldn't plant them right away. I just love their shiny little leaves and tidy habit. I'm already buying several more to use has a low foundation hedge.
I purchased this for a low growing hedge and it has been absolutely great!
I would definitely recommend this plant.
All eight I planted are doing very well. I am checking and watering every day since they are new, and no problems. Look forward to enjoying them.
