More Information

Description The vibrant tubular flowers of 'Little Red Head' spigelia (Spigelia marilandi) steal the show throughout summer! Bright red and yellow blooms look like tiny fireworks against this perennial's lush green foliage. Spigelia is an excellent choice for mixed borders or containers! Easy to care for, it's not too picky about where it's planted as long as it has moist, well-drained soil to call home. Growing best in full sun to partly sunny conditions, this perennial is well suited for areas with dappled light like flowerbeds underneath trees. Loved by hummingbirds and native to Missouri, 'Little Red Head' spigelia makes a great addition to native and pollinator gardens. Details How To Grow

First bloom.

Arrived fairly beat up despite excellent packaging but bounced right back. After rehydration and about a week of rest under lights I planted it outside and after three more weeks it began flowering!

Everything arrived perfectly and looks beautiful

I can't wait for this unseasonably cool weather to end in NY and look forward to planting them in my garden! I look forward to many years of enjoying them.
