More Information

Description The award-winning ‘Lucifer’ montbretia (Crocosmia) commands attention with fiery red blooms and vase-shaped form. Abundant tubular flowers set the mid-late summer garden ablaze in vivid color. Pollinators love this plant, especially hummingbirds and butterflies! When the flowers aren't in bloom, the dramatic upright leaves take center stage. Both flowers and foliage are like eye candy in cut arrangements. This perennial effortlessly handles heat, humidity, and mild drought, making it reliable and easy to grow. Plus, it's resistant to deer and rabbits. It's an excellent choice for hot borders, near boulders, tucked between shrubs, or in containers. When happy, it multiplies very nicely, creating a substantial clump that can be shared with friends or spread around the garden. Details How To Grow

Leaves had gray matter on them

All plants suffered from the mailing. I would never order from here again. Lost half the plants.

No blooms

No blooms, I hope I get something before the first frost.

Thank you for your feedback! It’s surprisingly normal for newly transplanted plants to appear like they aren’t growing or blooming. That’s because most of the growth occurs below ground in their first year as they allocate more energy to root development. Once your plant is established, it will start investing more in shoot and flower development. Very pretty

Plant arrived in healthy condition. Still very healthy today. The only reason I didn’t give it. Five stars is due to the very short bloom time.
