Plant Spacing

Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:

Description There are so many unique features of Paisley Pup™ Doghobble (Leucothoe fontanesiana) that we don’t even know where to begin. This broadleaf evergreen puts on a gorgeous color show year-round, transitioning between pink, green, white, and yellow hues! Next is the dainty, highly fragrant, white bell-shaped flowers blooming from spring to early summer. Paisley Pup™ is also deer-resistant, native, and shade-tolerant. What’s not to love?

Doghobble is a broadleaf evergreen shrub native to North America. The glossy leaves and bell-shaped flowers lay on dropping stems and charm all that lay eyes on it, especially the pollinators! Because doghobble prefers wet, acidic soils, it thrives planted in rain gardens or at the bottom of slopes and hills. Details Botanical name: Leucothoe fontanesiana 'SMNLFGRV'

A show stopper!

The plants arrived in great condition. They are planted in an area that gets partial shade from a dogwood tree. I use low volume root watering and the plants are thriving The multi coloring is lovely
