Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

I love it when online nurseries sell live plants. When plants are bare root or dormant, I cannot tell if they are alive, and only about half of them do live. These little guys are alive and kicking.
I ordered a 1qt. that arrived super healthy and ready to be planted. I didn’t get a photo of it when it arrived last month, but don’t be put off by the small size of a 1qt. starter, it has doubled in a month’s time and it is loving it’s life. Super easy to grow and I can’t wait to see all of the changes to come through the seasons. Gorgeous foliage already and I look forward to the branching purple berries and how lovely they will complement my At Last Roses.
I ordered two pearl Glam Beauty berries back in the fall. They didn't wake up in the spring. So GGP issued me two new ones (per their guarantee). A few weeks later, I was hit with a very late frost for my area that burned both beauty berry plants. I never even had the chance to see what they look like. GGP issued me a refund for both plants. Wonderful cust. serv. Very disappointing about the plants!

The plants arrived in great condition & are a good size with foliage & good root system. They should overwinter well.
I purchased it after hot weather started setting in, so was concerned about it getting a slow start in the heat. By the 2nd week after planting & keeping it watered to get it established, this little shrub has doubled in size & is blooming like crazy. It looks as if it will have berries this fall. A great purchase!
