Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Adorable little plant. Arrived just fine- it's just not making it. I think I'm 10 days past my 60 day guarantee- I wish I would have realized that sooner. I've been working so hard to get these to grow. They aren't dead, but they aren't thriving. I know they won't make it to next season. Don't make my mistake- try ONE the first season...not 11! ( I had high hopes!)
I'm so sorry to hear about your plants! Do reach out to customer service at claims@greatgardenplants.com with photos of the plants and let us double check the guarantee and see what we can do.
Received the plants and they were slimy. Died shortly after. Not recommended.

A couple of months ago, a very late season order of mine arrived in very poor condition, actually dead. I sent email back to the company asking if anything could be done. Very, Very quickly customer service responded saying that there were no more plants available of the type I'd purchase and suggesting I identify a different kind of plant which they'd be pleased to substitute for my loss. I'm very happy to reply that the substituted plants are beautiful and growing well. Thanks for great work!--Susan
