More Information

Description With pink cup-shaped flowers that dance in the breeze, 'Robustissima' Japanese anemone is a mesmerizing addition to the landscape. It blooms in late summer and early fall on tall, wiry stems, making the flowers appear to float above clumps of dark green foliage. Despite its delicate appearance, 'Robustissima' is highly robust and easy to grow. It's a reliable bloomer that tolerates more sun and drier conditions than other cultivars.

You may think of anemones as spring bloomers, but Japanese anemones flower in late summer and fall. Just as your other perennials start to fade, Japanese anemones shine with tall stems and satiny flowers. They're a magnet for pollinators - and thankfully, they remain unbothered by deer and rabbits. They're easy to grow, making them even easier to love in your landscape, containers, or cut arrangements.

Great garden tip: be patient in spring! They're a bit slow to rise in spring but arrive just in time to fill in around dying spring bulbs.

Too soon to say but I'm very hopeful

The shipment arrived in great shape. Now there are some leaves getting black but it's early days. I bet they will come around! You can even see some new growth at the bottom!

Update on my previous review: Leaves are covered with black spots.

I have ordered a large number of flowers. All of them were extremely healthy, except the Robustissima' Japanese Anemone. Almost all of the leaves were sick and the plant was almost dead. I got in touch with the nursery and followed their instructions. My plants were suffering from traveling disease, and after a few days of good care, they are now thriving with new leaves. Thank you for this great online nursery with its awesome and healthy plants!
