Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

I have bought 2 of these. They did arrive in acceptable condition. I planted them in fall - both are in areas where they will get full sun in spring/summer. However, in fall they are in shade until about 10-11am, then full sun until it goes down. I am in 7b and we havent had any devastating frosts - but it is getting down to about 30-35 at night. It warms up to about 70-75 in the day.
I planted them carefully - amended my clay soil and mulched them.
The plants came healthy - so I think maybe 7b is just too cold to be planting these in fall?
Hello! We do not recommend amending the soil when you plant. Amending the soil can set back or even kill your plant. Our friends at Proven Winners have an extensive article on this here: https://www.provenwinners.com/learn/how-plant/should-you-amend-your-soil-when-you-plant
Please email pictures of the plants to claims@greatgardenplants.com, making sure to put your order number and name in the subject line so that we may provide the best assistance possible. Rest assured, we have a guarantee on all our plants. Our fall guarantee covers plants received after September 1 until May 2023! If you received your plants within that timeframe, we would happily apply your warranty once we receive the pictures. Happy Gardening!

The plants arrived, packaged with care, and in great shape. So far they seem to be taking. I am very please with the purchase and would happy to recommend great garden plants!
I planted following instructions, one was doing all right, the other didn’t look good , gave it some time but , it crashed. GGP sent me a replacement, tried again , didn’t grab, and , the other one called it a day also. I have another hibiscus ( not a cranberry crush) between these two that is doing great , but , these two just wouldn’t come around. 🤷♂️
It’s fine , GGP sent me a replacement, I was appreciative of that , good customer service, will buy from them again, good luck with everything else I have purchased, these two just didn’t work out ! No big deal, part of gardening, hit and miss , it’s all good !!👍
