Plant Spacing

Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:

Description Some plants are useful, while others are beautiful. Truly great plants are both. Mazus' Alba' or creeping white mazus is a fantastic looking and performing ground cover. It gets into the garden and covers ground quickly, forming a dense, weed-suppressing mat that grows 2" tall and spreads 6"-12" each season once established. It is ideal for planting between pavers or in areas that get a bit of foot traffic, as it can handle the disturbance with grace. It shows off hundreds of little white blooms in spring. For the rest of the season, its cheery, lush foliage keeps the garden looking fresh. In warmer climates, it's evergreen!

Great experience all around

Delivery arrived in awesome shape, great planting instructions and tips. It’s been a few weeks and the Mazus plugs are doing great and little new growth sprouts are beginning to pop up! Very happy with this experience and cannot wait for it to fill in!

Awesome plants, Awesome company!

We ordered the 32 pack of White Mazus ground cover and about 6 were brown on arrival but decided to plant them anyway in case they bounced back. Unfortunately, they didn't so I emailed customer service and received a response very quickly. They shipped out 6 replacement plants that were larger than the originals and they are doing great! I highly recommend Great garden plants. Customer Service is wonderful, the plant selection is so much better than the nurseries in my area. We will be ordering from them again for sure.
