Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Ornamental cherries are beloved worldwide for their blooms and beauty. Whether you celebrate it by attending a festival (physically or virtually) or you celebrate it in your very own garden, with spring upon us, it’s time to ring in cherry blossom season.
I ordered several plants. They arrived as scheduled, were packaged well and all were is good condition. I was impressed with the plants…even tho they were small quart size plants. They were well rooted in their pots so very little soil was missing from around the plants. That was an issue I was having with another company that was up potting and shipping before they were rooted in so the plants were arriving with more soil in the bottom of the box and bare roots exposed. I gave the plants a couple of days to recover from shipping, planted them and so far they all seem to be doing well.
My shrub is small…I’ll have to wait until next Spring to see the white flowers. It looks healthy right now.
Unfortunately, the deer ate the deutzia down to the nubs 😢
We're sorry that the deer enjoyed your plants before you could. Young plants are especially susceptible to deer damage. We highly recommend spraying a liquid deer repellant for gardeners in areas with high deer traffic. Please send photos of your plants to claims@greatgardenplants.com. Rest assured, we have a guarantee on all our plants. Our fall guarantee covers plants received after September 1 until May 2024! If you received your plants within that time frame, we would happily apply your warranty once we receive the pictures. Happy Gardening!

Thank you!!! We received our plant order right on time. Yay!
Plants arrived expertly packaged and I was pleasantly impressed with the fullness and beautiful plants in the quart size. You exceeded my expectations.
I'm recommending your company to anyone who is looking for a specific plant they desire for their gardens but cannot find in their area greenhouses.
