Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

The start of fall may signal the gardening season is coming to a close, but it’s not over yet! There is still plenty of time to enjoy colorful flowers and foliage or even sprinkle in some new perennials and shrubs before winter arrives.
I thought I would give it a try, but am not surprised the plants showed up totally fried. Too young to be even in a quart pot. So much so that getting the plastic off of the pot could have caused damage to them if they weren't already dead. High end retail pricing needs to have a more established root mass before being shipped.

It arrived looking very nice. Soil was a bit dry so I watered it but it seems to have dried up. I keep hoping a new leaf will appear
They came well packed and in good condition…For the price I thought they would be larger.

One of my plants came out of the pot in transit and has subsequently died. I expect that to be replaced so no harm done. I don't know how they could possible package them better given all the jostling / tossing that the package undergoes en route!
Can't say much about the plants yet, they are tiny and only in the ground for about a month now. They look okay tho!

Pretty but small and pricey, and two of the five I ordered didn’t survive once in the ground. If I can find them locally, I will not order again.
