Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

The plants were healthy and well-packed when the arrive. They seemed to be doing well so far! Looking forward to some flowers.
Bought many plants from GGP last May (cushion spurge, potentilla, russian sage, etc.) Cushion spurge looked ok last summer, did not bloom, but boy you should see it now. It's big, beautiful and spread its wings out. Keeping fingers crossed potentilla will liven up by summer.
I was so excited to find cushion spurge and thought it so beautiful that I just had to order. I ordered three plants and gave one to my daughter. They were quite a bit smaller than I expected. Since I ordered them after the bloom time, I was so looking forward to being able to see them bloom this spring. I have been checking every few days but unfortunately, they seem to be dead. Not a bit of growth or greenery can be seen. The same thing happened to the one I gave to my daughter which is a bit puzzling, considering it is a totally different growing area, yet had the same result. Very upsetting that I paid for plants that I expected to get years of enjoyment from and basically got none. This was my first time ordering from here so I don’t think I will do so again. Most places I have ordered from give a one year warranty. Did not realize that was not the case here.

I could not find a Cushion Spurge at any local garden store so I was happy to find one online. The plant was shipped promptly and was delivered in healthy condition and is thriving.
