More Information

Description We are so excited to be offering 'Galaxy Blue,' a very unique, hard-to-find HARDY Lily of the Nile (Agapanthus sp.) that's a perennial even in USDA zone 6. Enjoy clusters of true-blue blooms all summer long, hovering above a mound of neat, strappy leaves. They are outstanding as a cut flower and in the garden, and you'll have plenty to enjoy, thanks to its super long bloom time. 'Galaxy Blue' is not evergreen in zones 6 and 7 - it will disappear over winter - but will re-emerge in spring, ready to provide you another season of fabulous blue blooms. Details How To Grow

Looked half dead

This came with only one green leaf, the rest were yellow and whole thing looks dead… I doubt it will survive the winter.. disappointing…

verdict still out

The lily of the nile was well-packed and was a reasonable size (unlike the 2 rose of sharon). It actually has a blue bloom and I am just hoping it makes it through the winter. It will be really pretty if it keeps growing.

Hardy for me

I grew this galaxy blue in zone 5b Verona Wisconsin. Beautiful it's first season. Used straw for mulch. Came back this past season of 2023.
Just as nice as its first year. Ordered a second. Mulched both again this fall. Fingers crossed for 2024.
