Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Learn how to prune roses, why the leaves are turning brown, why your plant isn't flowering, and everything else you need to know to grow roses like a pro.
I ordered 3 of these last spring and they were in quart containers. Didn't look like much at the beginning, but over the course of the summer they did grow and produce a number of dainty orange/yellow flowers. I just pruned they to prepare for the 2022 growing season and I hope they double in size and thicken up this year. I also will be more attentive to fertilizing them so that should help too.
Do yourself a favor-- buy this rose! This was my first ever online plant purchase, and I could not have been more pleased. The rose came in excellent condition and is thriving. I was so impressed, that I have actually purchased an additional five to six various shrubs and perennials from GGP this summer. All have arrived in perfect condition. This rose has been blooming it's heart out-- the attached picture is from 7/12/21, 8 weeks after planting. Gorgeous color, very healthy, and beautiful scent. I am actually debating which of the Oso easy roses to order next, and I'm having trouble because I want them all. Enjoy your beautiful rose!
I got this because I’m in zones 3-4 and it’s zoned 3. It will be interesting to see how it winters over here.
