Stonehenge Yew

I ordered 3 Stonehenge Yews, and they came well packed and protected with great instructions. I called with a fertilizer question, and they were well-informed and friendly. The yews are all thriving in their new home!

sadly, only one is still alive

i planted 4 of these three summers ago, and only one of them ever showed signs of growth. then this spring, the 3 that were struggling turned brown & died. the other one is still no more than 6" tall, but it is at least alive with new growth on it. i really love the idea of these but don't dare chance it again; would the "skinny" be a better option? thx!

Healthy but no new growth yet

I ordered two of these Stonehenge Yews, plus several of the Stonehenge Skinny Yews. They've all been in the ground for a couple of months now. The Skinnies have put on new growth and are filling out, but the regular Stonehenge Yews look healthy but little to no new growth. Hopefully they'll start growing soon.

Hello! Thank you for leaving feedback. When transplanting young plants from a nursery pot to a garden, the plant allocates more energy to root development instead of shoot development (above ground). It's important for them to develop a robust root system so they can absorb the nutrients and water in the soil around them. Then after their root system is more developed, they'll invest in their shoots and flower development. They generally spend their first year growing roots in their new home, in the second year, they have more energy to put into growth; and in the third year, they grow vigorously. We hope this helps. Happy Gardening!

Stone Henge Yew

The 3 evergreens arrived healthy and once planted continued to look healthy. They are little plants, so we will see how they weather our MN winter!
